Zeek on a sabbatical
Zeek is taking time away from everything to recover, but also to reflect on everything that has happened to him.
"I know my mother is my guardian angel watching over me. I have felt her presence near me, over the last few months and she has given me much strength in my fight with the dreaded C.
I know some don't believe in those feelings, the belief that 'what we see is all there is' gang, well, I genuinely feel sorry for you as there are many more possibilities out there.
Thank you to everyone for their kind words and attention. You will never know how much this means to me."
FLOWERS TO MAKE ME FEEL-GOOD
On returning home after a week in the hospital, Zeek had a pleasant surprise of flowers received from the Feelgood festival (my old festival) associates.
p.s. The card says: Welcome home, from Feelgood and get well soon
ZEEK's tumour removed
As many people know, Zeek was diagnosed with intestinal cancer last year. In January, he underwent surgery to remove the cancer cells and received a stoma bag, which he will keep for the rest of his life. This is a life changer, but Zeek is super positive about everything, he reported:
Zeek is taking a sabbatical to recover fully, but he hopes to start work on new material as soon as possible. The plans are for music of a different genre to the music he played through the years.
"Yes, it was a bit of a shock, but I am still here, and the rest of me is fine. I'm not done yet and will continue this musical journey. I am grateful for everyone who helped me, from my family and friends to the staff at the Hospital here in Alkmaar."
