THE SUMMER HAS GONE AN' WINTER DRAWS NEAR
THE SNOW STARTS TO FALL AND BRINGS XMAS CHEER
THE ALKIES WILL DINE, ON WHAT IS LEFT OVER
A CHRISTMAS DEVINE, AS SPIRITS, FLOW OVER
SPARE A THOUGHT FOR THOSE YOU MEET,
LIKE THE MAN WHO SLEEPS IN THE STREET
AND BE HIS SAVIOUR THIS XMAS TIME
HE LIVES IN A BOX, NO XMAS DECORATIONS,
THE COLD AIR AFFECTS HIS BLOOD CIRCULATION
SO DON'T JUST WALK BY, IF YOU HAVE CHANGE TO SPARE
HELP YOUR FELLOW MAN AND BRING XMAS CHEER
SPARE A THOUGHT FOR THOSE YOU MEET,
LIKE THE MAN WHO SLEEPS IN THE STREET
AND BE HIS SAVIOUR THIS XMAS TIME
Remember this when you are tucking into your turkey dinner,
while drinking your Chardonnay and opening your expensive gifts,
that somewhere someone is sleeping in a box,
cold and hungry, so spare a thought and maybe
some change and give that alky a merry xmas
SPARE A THOUGHT FOR THOSE YOU MEET,
LIKE THE MAN WHO SLEEPS IN THE STREET
AND BE HIS SAVIOUR THIS XMAS TIME
CHOIR: oh come all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant
o! Come ye oh come ye today......
(repeat till end)
